This study explored the effects of medical and personal readiness for pregnancy on maternal health in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Among 111 participants, lack of medical readiness correlated with worse pregnancy outcomes and active disease, while lack of personal readiness was linked to higher patient-perceived disease activity and depressive symptoms. Improving preconception medical care and reducing unplanned pregnancies are key to enhancing maternal health and pregnancy outcomes in SLE.
