
Prenatal factors such as snoring and uterine contractions are linked to increased risk of Brief Resolved Unexplained Events (BRUEs) in infants." In a study of mothers with infants presenting with BRUEs, those mothers were more likely to report snoring, lower extremity edema, restless legs syndrome, and aspirin use during pregnancy. The study found no significant differences in insomnia severity. Mothers of BRUE infants were less likely to report leg cramps and fatigue.
