This study aims to investigate the behaviours of young children in competitive games. A qualitative research design was used. Results showed that the competitive game context was challenging but also developing. Children revealed their emotions in appropriate ways during the moments of winning, while some children showed aggression during the moments of losing. For children with low and high social acceptance, it was observed that children with expected approval have more intense behaviours than children with high favour, showing aggression from time to time.
