Although nearly half of the eligible patients met the criteria for antiobesity medications (AOMs), only 1% received prescriptions. This cross-sectional study of over 2.4 million adults in the Mass General Brigham system found that 45% were eligible for AOMs, with musculoskeletal disorders being the most common obesity-related conditions. AOM prescriptions were more common in younger patients, those with higher BMI, and those with greater obesity-related conditions. Liraglutide and semaglutide were the most prescribed AOMs.
