Prevalence of Allergies and Neurodevelopmental Diseases in Children of Anti-Ro Mothers

The study examined the prevalence of allergic, neurodevelopmental, and autoimmune diseases in children born to anti-Ro antibody–positive mothers. A cohort of 321 children was compared to the non-NLE CHILD Cohort Study. Allergic disease was present in 30% of the NLE cohort vs. 22% in the CHILD cohort, with no significant difference (P = 0.25).
