The study conclusively shows that primary hip arthroscopy yields superior outcomes compared to revisions. A meta-analysis of 11 studies involving 6437 primary and 1151 revision patients (mean ages 37.1 and 35.2) revealed significantly lower postoperative scores and higher pain in revisions. Rates of achieving minimal clinically important difference ranged 66.7%-92% vs 47.4%-90%, with revision procedures showing notably higher complications and conversion to total hip arthroplasty.
