A study investigated the prognostic value of the Triglyceride Glucose (TyG) index in predicting the No-Reflow (NR) phenomenon in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and acute myocardial infarction (AMI) undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Analysis of 1683 patients revealed a positive association between the TyG index and NR occurrence, with an area under the curve of 0.645. When added to baseline risk models, the TyG index significantly improved predictive value, indicating its potential as a valid predictor of NR in T2DM and AMI patients. Early identification of NR could enhance outcomes in this population.
