This study assessed a robust 5-year cardiovascular risk prediction model for patients with psoriatic disease (PsD). This groundbreaking study analyzed data from a cohort of PsD patients without prior cardiovascular events. The base model, incorporating ten traditional cardiovascular risk factors, demonstrated excellent discrimination with an AUC of 85.5. Interestingly, PsD-specific factors did not significantly contribute to risk prediction. Even in a sensitivity analysis excluding certain treatments, the base model remained highly effective. This study suggests that traditional cardiovascular risk factors alone can accurately predict cardiovascular risk in PsD patients, offering a valuable tool for healthcare professionals.
