Quality of life in patients with CRB1‐associated retinal dystrophies: A longitudinal study

A study sheds light on the declining vision-related quality of life in patients with CRB1-associated inherited retinal dystrophies. Over 4 years, 22 patients with CRB1 variants experienced significant declines in 'near activities' and 'total composite' scores. Rasch's analysis further revealed decreases in 'visual functioning' and 'socio-emotional' scales. The findings underscore the importance of patient-reported outcome measures in clinical trials for tracking disease progression and treatment effectiveness.
