
This study aimed to quantitatively compare the efficacy of fluticasone furoate (FF) and fluticasone propionate (FP) in adolescents and adults with asthma. We searched the PubMed and EMBASE databases for placebo‐controlled trials that met the inclusion criteria. Pharmacodynamic models were established to describe the time–course of the primary outcome (trough forced expiratory volume in the first second [FEV1]). Secondary outcomes (asthma symptoms, quality of life and exacerbations) were also compared via a meta‐analysis. A total of 14 articles were included in the analysis, involving 6640 subjects.
