RAS Inhibitors and Beta-Blockers Prevent Heart Failure Relapse in AiCM

RAS inhibitors and beta-blockers significantly reduce heart failure (HF) relapse in arrhythmia-induced cardiomyopathy (AiCM). In a study of 200 patients with LVEF <50% and arrhythmia-related HF, maintenance of these medications post-LVEF improvement was associated with lower relapse rates. Mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists reduced ED visits, but did not impact the composite endpoint. Antiarrhythmic drugs showed no significant effect. These findings emphasize the importance of guideline-directed medical therapy in AiCM management.
