Relating Lipoprotein(a) Concentrations to Cardiovascular Event Risk After Acute Coronary Syndrome

The study involved 11,970 participants with acute coronary syndrome history and lipoprotein(a) tests' predictive power for cardiovascular events was analyzed. Siemens' IA-mass, Roche's IA-molar, and mass spectrometry-based tests were compared. Similarly, PCSK9 inhibitor alirocumab's efficacy in reducing adverse cardiovascular events correlated across the tests. This research contributes valuable insights into risk assessment and personalized treatment in high-risk cohorts.
