The study investigated the effectiveness and safety of intermittent levosimendan therapy for patients with advanced heart failure (HF) following hospitalization. The study involving 145 patients found intermittent levosimendan did not significantly impact post-hospitalization clinical stability compared to a placebo. Although the primary endpoint showed no substantial difference, there was a hint of increased clinical component incidents in the levosimendan group. This research provides important insights into HF patients with reduced LVEF treatment options.
