This study examines the relationship between residual mitral regurgitation (rMR), transmitral mean pressure gradient (TMPG), and 1-year mortality in 570 patients undergoing MitraClip repair for secondary mitral regurgitation. Results reveal that both rMR and TMPG are independently associated with mortality, with higher rMR significantly amplifying TMPG's impact on risk. Optimizing these parameters during the procedure is crucial for improving patient outcomes.
