Retinoblastoma Survival and Globe Salvage in Africa

A study of 958 retinoblastoma patients across Africa revealed a 1-year survival rate of 78.2% and 66.2% at 3 years. Advanced clinical stages significantly increase the risk of death and global loss. The high rates of eye removal and poor survival highlight the need for improved interventions and increased efforts to enhance outcomes for retinoblastoma patients in Africa.
