The study explored the use of vaginal discharge (VD) as a non-invasive method for predicting ovulation. A study involving 35 women aged 20-39 collected urine and VD samples, analyzing LH levels. Out of 55 menstrual cycles studied, VD LH surge correlated with ovulation in 90% of cases. The method shows promise with 86% sensitivity and 83% specificity, reducing the burden on participants compared to traditional methods like basal body temperature monitoring. This could revolutionize ovulation prediction for conception.
