A recent study reveals promising findings regarding ribociclib, a drug already proven beneficial in advanced breast cancer. The study explores its efficacy in early breast cancer stages. Results indicate a significant increase in invasive disease-free survival among patients with HR-positive, HER2-negative stage II or III early breast cancer when treated with ribociclib alongside an NSAI compared to NSAI alone. Secondary endpoints, such as distant disease-free survival and recurrence-free survival, also showed improvement. No new safety concerns were raised. These findings highlight the potential of ribociclib as a valuable treatment option for early breast cancer patients.
