Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is often accompanied by secondary infections, such as invasive aspergillosis. This study evaluated risk factors for developing COVID-19-associated pulmonary aspergillosis (CAPA) and their clinical outcomes. This multicenter retrospective cohort study included critically ill COVID-19 patients from July 2020 through March 2021. Among 187 eligible patients, 17 (9.1%) developed CAPA, which is equal to 33.10 per 10,000 patient-days. The study showed that the dose of corticosteroid use might be a risk factor for CAPA development and the possibility of CAPA contributing to adverse outcomes in critically ill COVID-19 patients.

An umbrella review of 69 systematic reviews covering 970 studies and 221 factors identified six factors with convincing evidence of association with psychotic disorders. High population attributable fractions were observed for childhood adversities (40.69%), Toxoplasma gondii IgG positivity (20.47%), frequent cannabis use (12.75%), and clinical high risk for psychosis (12.68%).

A validation study found that Norwegian versions of the TOPSE and Teen TOPSE questionnaires demonstrated good-to-excellent psychometric properties in parents of children with pediatric acquired brain injury.
