This study analyzed data from the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program to examine trends in population frailty and compare postoperative outcomes in patients who underwent robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) between 2011 and 2019. The study included 66,683 patients. The results showed an increase in mean age and frailty indicators over the study period, while mortality and morbidity rates remained unchanged. The study also found a decrease in operative time and length of hospital stay. These findings suggest that RARP can be safely performed on frailer patients without increasing the risk of complications or mortality.
