
The study assessed the accuracy of robotic computer-assisted implant surgery (r-CAIS) for immediate implant placement (IIP) in posterior teeth. A total of 12 patients underwent r-CAIS after tooth extraction, with positioning markers and cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) used for preoperative planning. The robotic arm executed the implantation procedure, supervised by surgeons. Results indicated no adverse events, with mean global coronal and apical deviations of 0.46 ± 0.15 mm and 0.46 ± 0.14 mm, respectively, and a mean angular deviation of 1.05 ± 0.55°. The findings demonstrated that r-CAIS provides high precision in posterior tooth implant placement. Further randomized studies are needed to validate its feasibility for broader clinical use.
