This study investigates the expression of hsa_circ_0000745 and hsa_circ_0001459 in ischemic stroke (IS) and evaluates their potential as biomarkers for diagnosis and prognosis. Both circRNAs were upregulated in acute IS and were correlated with pro-inflammatory cytokines and NIHSS scores. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis revealed strong diagnostic value, with AUCs of 0.85 and 0.83, respectively. In BV2 cells, downregulation of these circRNAs promoted apoptosis and inhibited migration, with both circRNAs acting via the miR-1287-5p pathway. These findings suggest hsa_circ_0000745 and hsa_circ_0001459 as potential biomarkers for diagnosing IS and predicting long-term outcomes.
