The study assessed the efficacy, safety, and patient satisfaction of twice-daily versus once-daily administration of intravaginal PGE2 for term labour induction. In a randomized, comparative, open-label trial involving 246 pregnant women, the experimental group, receiving a repeat dose after 12 hours, exhibited a significantly shorter induction-to-delivery time (p=0.007) without increased maternal or neonatal morbidity. Patients in the experimental group reported higher satisfaction (69.8% vs. 50%) with the induction process. The findings suggest improved outcomes with a closer interval of PGE2 administration during term labour induction.
