Second PDT Effective for Recurrent Central Serous Chorioretinopathy

The multicenter retrospective study evaluated 88 patients with recurrent CSC after prior successful PDT. A second PDT with reduced settings achieved complete subretinal fluid resolution in 64% of cases and significantly improved visual acuity and ellipsoid zone continuity without inducing new atrophy. These findings suggest that repeat PDT is both effective and safe for recurrent CSC in the short term, offering promising anatomical and functional outcomes.
