
Segmental vitiligo, affecting 3.5%–20.5% of vitiligo patients, is often associated with the development of white hair. This phenomenon may be linked to neuroendocrine factors. This article reviews the underlying mechanisms based on melanocytes in skin and hair follicles and proposes potential treatment targets for segmental vitiligo with white hair.
