This study validated the predictive ability of specific blood protein profiles for short-term and mid/long-term relapse in Crohn’s disease patients who stopped infliximab therapy. Comparing two cohorts, the study found that certain biomarker pairs outperformed existing models like CEASE, CRP, and faecal calprotectin in predicting relapse. These findings could guide more personalized decisions regarding infliximab withdrawal in Crohn’s disease management.
