The objective of the analysis was to evaluate differences in response to lifestyle interventions between male and female children and adolescents with overweight or obesity. The meta-analysis was conducted on 49 eligible studies and showed no significant difference in response to lifestyle interventions between males and females in terms of weight, BMI, BMI z score, percentage body fat, and waist circumference. The meta‐analysis revealed that youth with overweight or obesity do not demonstrate a differential response to lifestyle intervention in relation to adiposity‐related outcomes.
