To examine the simultaneous effect of high‐volume Foley catheter (HVFC) (60 ml) and vaginal misoprostol on labour induction in nulliparous women. Women in the HVFC group had significantly shorter induction to delivery interval and duration of labour. In addition, the mode of vaginal delivery, number of doses of misoprostol required, and need for oxytocin augmentation were significantly better in the HVFC group. Simultaneous use of HVFC and vaginal misoprostol for labor induction significantly shortens the induction to delivery interval and duration of labor in nulliparous women.
