A study evaluated the efficacy and safety of sirolimus in treating recurrent intravenous leiomyomatosis (IVL), pulmonary benign metastatic leiomyomatosis (PBML), and leiomyomatosis peritonealis disseminata (LPD). Fifteen patients received oral sirolimus for up to 60 months or until disease progression. The study observed a 20.0% objective response rate and an 86.7% disease control rate. Sirolimus demonstrated effectiveness, with three patients achieving a partial response. The findings suggest sirolimus as a safe and effective treatment option for recurrent IVL, PBML, and recurrent LPD.
