A study sheds light on the impact of autoimmune bullous diseases (AIBDs) on patients' skin-related quality of life (SRQL). The Skindex-16 score, assessed during flare and nonflare states in 192 patients, revealed significantly reduced SRQL during flares, particularly in pemphigoid and dermatitis herpetiformis. The study highlighted Skindex-16's validity in measuring SRQL but noted issues with its structural fit.
