
The study explored speech-language pathologists' (SLPs) views on maintaining therapy gains in chronic aphasia. Six key themes emerged: ongoing communication activity, meaningful goals, translating goals to participation, individual capacity, home support, and services. SLPs emphasized the need for personalized, real-life interventions and better models of care to optimize the long-term maintenance of therapy gains.
