Small-Molecule Inhibitors and Biologics for Palmoplantar Psoriasis and Palmoplantar Pustulosis

Small-Molecule Inhibitors and Biologics for Palmoplantar Psoriasis and Palmoplantar Pustulosis

A systematic review and network meta-analysis evaluated the effectiveness of biologics and small-molecule inhibitors in treating palmoplantar psoriasis (PP) and palmoplantar pustulosis (PPP). The study analyzed 29 randomized controlled trials involving 4798 patients. For PP, secukinumab 300 mg and guselkumab 100 mg were the most effective, while for PPP, guselkumab 100 mg showed significant improvement in palmoplantar scores. These findings suggest that among available treatments, secukinumab and guselkumab demonstrate promising efficacy for PP and PPP, respectively.
