This study examined long-term socioeconomic and mental health outcomes in 259 women and 996 men surviving out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) in North Holland, Netherlands. Over 5 years post-OHCA, both genders experienced decreased employment rates and income. Women showed increased dispensing of anxiety/depression medication compared to men. No significant changes in primary earner status were noted. Differences between genders were evident in anxiety/depression medication use but were generally similar to changes observed in the general population. These findings underscore the need for targeted support post-OHCA, particularly addressing mental health concerns in women.
