Status and timing of angiotensin receptor–neprilysin inhibitor implementation in patients with heart failure

This study examined ARNI initiation in heart failure patients with reduced ejection fraction in Sweden from 2017-2021. ARNI use increased from 8.3% to 26.7% over the years. In-hospital initiation was more common, but early ARNI use was still limited, often delayed beyond 90 days post-discharge. Factors such as severe HF and follow-up in specialized care were associated with earlier initiation. One-year discontinuation rates varied but were consistent across settings.
