A retrospective analysis of 1918 patients undergoing PCI categorized them into groups by BMI and diabetes status. Over 7.0 years, no significant differences in major adverse cardiac events were observed among groups. Overweight and obese individuals showed lower all-cause mortality rates than normal-weight patients, regardless of diabetes status. However, overweight and obese non-diabetic patients had a higher risk of repeat revascularization. After adjustment, overweight and obesity weren't significantly linked to adverse outcomes in PCI patients with or without diabetes.
