
A study evaluated the efficacy of PD-1/PD-L1-based immunotherapy combinations in treating advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Analyzing 18,048 participants, results indicated that combinations such as PD-(L)1 with chemotherapy (CT), PD-(L)1 with CTLA4 and CT, and PD-(L)1 with TIGIT significantly improved OS. PD-(L)1 combined with CT or CT and VEGF showed notable benefits for PFS and ORR. Subgroup analyses revealed optimal combinations based on PD-L1 expression levels, histological types, and metastatic sites. For PD-L1 < 1%, PD-(L)1+CT+VEGF and PD-(L)1+CTLA4+CT were effective, while PD-(L)1+CT benefited those with PD-L1 ≥ 50%. VEGF was beneficial for non-squamous cell carcinoma or liver metastases, whereas PD-(L)1+CTLA4+CT was advantageous for squamous cell carcinoma or brain metastases.
