A recent study assessed the effectiveness of prophylactic clipping following colonic cold snare polypectomy (CSP) in patients on antithrombotic agents. The study involved 133 patients requiring prophylactic clipping and 85 without, and no significant difference in delayed bleeding rates was found between the two groups. The study suggests that prophylactic clipping may not be essential for preventing delayed bleeding after colorectal CSP in patients on antithrombotic agents, challenging existing practices in this area.
