Study Reveals Postpartum Contraceptive Preferences

In a Brazilian cohort study, women's preference for postpartum contraception favoured long-acting reversible methods like IUDs and implants. Six months later, 42.5% were using their preferred method, with younger age, white ethnicity, and early initiation correlating strongly. This highlights the importance of timely access to preferred contraceptives post-delivery for sustained use.
