A recent study investigated the effects of Elexacaftor-tezacaftor-ivacaftor (ETI) on weight gain in cystic fibrosis (CF) patients. The study, conducted at a single centre, assessed 154 patients aged 19-73 years. Linear mixed effects modelling (LME) indicated a correlation between ETI treatment and weight gain. A concise linear regression model was developed through extensive testing, indicating that younger patients with more prior year pulmonary exacerbations tend to experience the most significant weight gain six months after initiating ETI.
