Study Shows ApoB/ApoA-I Ratio as a Key Predictor for Stroke Recurrence

A recent study investigated the prognostic value of the ApoB/ApoA-I ratio in predicting stroke recurrence within one year after the initial incident. The study analyzed 722 patients with acute ischemic stroke and found that those with higher serum ApoB/ApoA-I concentrations on admission exhibited a significantly increased risk of recurrence. This correlation remained robust even after adjusting for traditional risk factors. The findings emphasize the importance of the ApoB/ApoA-I ratio as a reliable indicator for assessing the risk of ischemic stroke recurrence within the first year.
