An study assessed the efficacy of a 4-week topical treatment with calcipotriol/betamethasone (Cal/BD) foam on psoriasis-related pruritus. Among 81 participants with moderate-to-severe pruritus, 91.4% experienced relief 48 hours after the first application. Self-assessed pruritus severity was notably higher than physicians' assessments. Significant improvements in quality of sleep (+2.9 ± 3.0) after 24 hours and quality of life (−9.0 ± 6.8) after 28 days were observed. These findings underscore the underestimation of pruritus as a symptom in psoriasis and highlight the efficacy of Cal/BD foam in alleviating pruritus and enhancing quality of life and sleep for patients with plaque psoriasis.
