A recent study delved into the efficacy of erenumab, an anti-CGRP-receptor monoclonal antibody, in managing erythema and flushing in rosacea patients. The trial spanned from June 2020 to May 2021. Participants, totalling 30 adults with rosacea, received 140 mg of erenumab every four weeks for 12 weeks. Results indicated significant reductions in both flushing and erythema. Adverse effects were generally mild, reinforcing erenumab's potential in rosacea treatment, though further trials are warranted for validation.
