A study was conducted on Idiopathic Multicentric Castleman Disease (iMCD), a rare inflammatory disorder, to understand its impact on patients and caregivers. The study included 51 iMCD patients and 11 caregivers from the US, UK, Australia, and Canada. Patients reported an average of 6.7 out of 27 unique symptoms, with 'pain/discomfort' affecting daily life the most. Factors like age, gender, and employment status significantly influenced the impact of symptoms. Caregivers also faced challenges, particularly in social life and emotional wellbeing. This study sheds light on the little-understood aspects of iMCD.
