The study identified core and bridge symptoms in ECOPD patients using symptom networks and latent class analysis (LCA). Loss of appetite was found to be the core symptom, while chest distress acted as a bridge symptom. Two subgroups were identified: a high-symptom group (53.8%) and a low-symptom group (46.2%), with the high-symptom group more likely to experience nutrition-sleep-related symptoms. These findings offer insights into personalized symptom management for ECOPD patients.
