Parents are being urged to ensure their children are up to date with vaccinations before they leave school. The UK Health Security Agency advises those who have missed out to contact their school nurse, school immunisation team or GP surgery to arrange a catch-up.

RNA-seq and chromatin analyses of human airway smooth muscle cells reveal that dexamethasone suppresses gene activation driven by IL-1β and IL-13, key pathways in Type I and Type II airway inflammation. The findings suggest glucocorticoids primarily repress inflammatory signaling through transcriptional competition while also cooperating with NF-κB to activate anti-inflammatory genes.
