The clinical and pathogenic spectrum of surgically-induced scleral necrosis

The onset of scleral necrosis after ocular surgery may have catastrophic ocular and systemic consequences. Several pathogenic mechanisms are involved in surgically induced scleral necrosis. All of them are poorly understood.
