Total COVID (2020) encounters were 30% of pre‐COVID (2019) volumes. In 2020, 27% of encounters were virtual; established patient visits decreased from 60% to 46%. COVID‐19 significantly affected the number of patients seen, virtual visit encounters, nasal endoscopies, and imaging utilization.

A human adipose stem cell study found distinct insulin and IGF-I receptor patterns between subcutaneous and visceral fat.
