This retrospective cohort study assessed the effectiveness of testicular scintigraphy (TS) in diagnosing testicular torsion (TT) and its correlation with surgical outcomes. Among 68 patients, TS utilizing technetium-99m-pertechnetate diagnosed TT in 51%, showcasing its efficacy even in delayed presentations. Surgical validation revealed varying outcomes, including manual detorsion and necrotic testis. The study highlights TS as a valuable diagnostic tool for TT, emphasizing its potential role as a gatekeeper for surgical intervention.
