
A recent study examined the effectiveness of topical imiquimod in treating high-grade CIN, a common side effect of cervical excision. \Results showed that imiquimod treatment led to a 55% regression rate to ≤CIN 1, compared to 29% with placebo. Surgical treatment had the highest regression rate of 93%. Additionally, imiquimod exhibited a 53.4% hr-HPV clearance rate, while surgical treatment showed 66% clearance.
