This study aims to investigate whether digital impression techniques, compared to conventional methods, improve the marginal and internal fit of tooth-supported fixed partial dentures (FPDs). The systematic review and meta-analysis include seven articles, with five selected for quantitative analysis. Results show that FPDs produced with digital scanning and CAD/CAM systems significantly enhance internal fit compared to traditional methods. Intraoral scanners are suggested as replacements for conventional impressions due to reduced operating time and patient discomfort.
