This study aimed to investigate the prognostic value of the HALP score (hemoglobin-albumin-lymphocyte-platelet) in patients with oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Medical data of 350 patients were analyzed, and it was found that a low HALP score (<35.4) was significantly associated with OSCC aggressiveness and predicted poorer overall and disease-free survival. A HALP-based nomogram was established that accurately predicted overall survival, indicating that the HALP score may be a useful prognostic biomarker in OSCC patients undergoing surgery.
